Downside to this trinket is the fact it can be incredibly slow to gain stacks of blessings for the shield. Stacks cannot be gained prior to pulling a boss as stacks cannot be gained or refreshed when not in combat, so you cannot pull a boss with the full 5 stacks unless you manage to get in combat with something else (even a critter) to heal and gain stacks, before pulling the boss.
Even with the buff this trinket gained, the shield effect is very small.
Healers with this trinket proc a wing effect while using this trinket.
This trinket was hotfixed on March 12, 2013 to increase activation chance by 5%, so when looking at trinket data from theorycrafting and logs, be sure you are looking at it post-hotfix.
