Don’t you hate being the sole tank healer and having to call out that you are Plea-ing every 2 minutes? Well Divine Plea has undergone a slight change that removes the healing reduction.
Currently, when a Paladin Divine Pleas, it reduces all healing done by 50%. Well that is now gone, so Paladin’s can Plea without being concerned about tank deaths from the reduction.

Holy Paladin’s mastery has been hugely overpowered this expansion and has been one that has been constantly talked about because of the shields that mastery gives the raid. However, Blizzard has made a change that should reduce the OPness of Holy Paladins slightly.
Mastery: Illuminated Healing no longer activates from periodic healing effects.
However, this remains to be seen just how much of an impact this will really have on Paladin’s healing.

Hand of Purity is getting some changes for 5.4, which will will help negate some of the changes that were hotfixed back in March during Throne of Thunder progression.
Hand of Purity
now reduces damage taken from harmful periodic effects by 80% (up from 70%) and reduces damage taken from harmful periodic effects that cannot be prevented by immunities by 40% (up from 0%).
You may remember that Hand of Purity was used for Frostbite on Council of Elders, and made it so easy during the first few weeks of heroic kills that it was necessary to stack pallies for that reason specifically.
This is a nice buff to give it more utility that was taken away with the hotfix.

Holy Pally T16 tier bonuses are here.
The Holy Pally 2pc is pretty weak at this time, so it won’t be surprising to see holy pallies keeping their old T15 around until they get 4pc, much like they kept the T14 when T15 came out – until it got nerfed that is.
Aside from the 4pc bonus increasing mastery by 1500, neither of the bonuses will increase the current holy pally absorb healing.
Of course, as with the PTR, this could very well change before 5.4 hits, and with such a poor 2pc, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it change.

5.3 saw some nerfs for both holy paladins and disc priests. Even post-5.3, those two classes are still pretty powerful, and the devs have commented that they feel that absorbs are still too strong.
we did nerf both Discipline and Holy paladins in 5.3, but our suspicion overall is that absorbs are still too potent and prominent.
We will probably have to wait for PTR to be able to see what will get nerfed or changed, however, but it is good they are looking at addressing the issue of absorbs and shields, especially for those classes who are trying to heal against disc priests and paladins.

First, we saw the complaints about Paladin’s T14 being so overpowered compared to T15 which resulted in the nerfing of T14 on the PTR, but with a buff to Daybreak which allows it to stack. But they must have deemed a 2 stack of Daybreak too powerful, because it has been somewhat nerfed on the PTR.
Daybreak now heals nearby targets for 75% of the original healing done, down from 100%. Now stacks up to two times.
Still better than what it is on live, but again reduces the appeal of the Holy Pally T15 again (2 pieces: Increases the healing done by your Daybreak ability by 50%.)
Things still aren’t final on the PTR, so we could see more changes before the PTR goes to release candidate and 5.3 officially being launched.
