Spoils of Pandaria Detailed Strategy Guide (incl Heroic) for Healers
Spoils of Pandaria is the tenth boss in Siege of Orgrimmar.
This fight is the Dark Animus of the tier. It requires a ton of micromanaging.
You should be wary of opening too many boxes all at once as the AoE and other damage can quickly become too much for healers to heal and raiders to move out of.
You need to split your raid into two groups, one for each side. The Life Hook that allows you to move from one side to the other takes about ten seconds and has to be used one at a time, making a raid strat of everyone starting on one side then going to the other impossible.
You will also need a heroism for each side, as it won’t be shared between groups.
There are also buffs for healers, tanks and dps in the green marked boxes, which will be given to everyone in that spec in that quandrant.
Windwalk totem removes the Keg Toss debuff, drop it right as the Ancient Brewmaster Spirit begins to cast Breath of Fire, as having both debuffs will do a huge amount of damage. The Breath of Fire dot is also dispelable.
If you get the healing buff from the Wise Mistweaver Spirit – you will get a buff called Staff of Resonating Water – be sure to face the mobs, as the green waves that come off you deal damage as well as heal.
Make sure your raid kills any Burial Urns, they will quickly spawn a many Spark of Life sparks which deal significant damage if enough spawn.
Heroic Mode
This fight is all about ensuring your raiders don’t stand in bad or open too many boxes become overwhelming, while healers are tank healing and primarily spot healing and trying to save those who stand in bad.
Be ready to immediately dispel anyone who gets the Breath of Fire debuff from the Ancient Brewmaster Spirit. If you aren’t quick enough, they will die with the ticking damage done if they also have the Keg Toss debuff.
Disabled Sparks can cause a lot of damage if the raid lets them go to Supernova ability.
